Seven important components of drag chain cable
Drag chain cable is widely used in fire protection system, industrial electronic system and other fields. This kind of cable has high flexibility. At present, it is mainly used in some places where it is dragged repeatedly. Generally, it is mainly composed of seven parts: tensile center, inner sheath and outer sheath. The following small series will briefly introduce the various components of the drag chain cable!
First, conductor structure. Because drag chain cables are often used in places where they move repeatedly, they have high flexibility requirements for the conductors. Generally speaking, the flexibility of the cable increases with the thinning of the conductor, but too thin conductor should also be avoided when selecting, because this kind of conductor is easy to cause cable winding.
Second, the tensile center. Different from the method of core filling with waste materials for ordinary cables, there is a real tensile center inside the cable to protect the stranded wire of the cable. The tensile center mainly exists in the cross area of each core wire in it.
Third, core wire insulation. In order to ensure that the insulating materials in the cable will not stick to each other, and each conductor must have a certain support, so the core wire insulation shall be applied to improve its reliability.
Fourth, stranded wire. Due to some insulating materials used in the cable, the stranded wire must be designed into a moving structure. And ensure that it is wound around the tensile center in the form of bundle stranding.
Fifth, inner sheath. In order to ensure that there is no disorder between the strand structures, the armor type extruded inner sheath is used. The inner sheath can avoid a series of problems caused by ordinary filler.
Sixth, shielding. The shielding layer is mainly a layer of organizational structure outside the inner sheath. Its close wrapping can not only protect the inner sheath, but also increase the torsion resistance of the cable and prevent it from breaking and damage due to excessive bending.
Seventh, outer sheath. Generally speaking, different outer sheaths often have different functions. For example, some have low temperature resistance, while others have good oil resistance and so on. However, no matter what kind of outer sheath, its wear resistance is relatively excellent. And also ensure that the outer sheath used has high flexibility and one foundation support function.
