Technical development trend of fireproof cable
With the increasing popularity of information system, it began to enter various working environments and every household. Generic cabling system has changed from a new invention 20 years ago to an information system transmission cable that can be seen everywhere in people's daily life. When people can complete a highly stable and reliable generic cabling system, whether the cabling system can resist external invasion and avoid external harm has become a new goal.
In modern society, people are more and more dependent on fire and are more and more endangered by fire. Therefore, the fire safety of building materials, including generic cabling system, has become the content of people's attention.
External fire will destroy the generic cabling system and cause transmission interruption; At the same time, the generic cabling system will more or less produce harmful gases and smoke in the flame, which may also help the fire gradually spread to other floors or other rooms.
According to the statistics of the fire department, about 85% of the deaths in the fire are due to the poisoning of harmful gases generated in the fire, suffocation by diffuse smoke or inability to escape due to invisible paths. In the building, the number and spread of generic cabling cables exceed all kinds of cables in the building. Therefore, the fire prevention of generic cabling system has begun to become one of the key factors for people to consider the system performance.
In China, the main flame retardant cables used at present are:
⊙ cm grade cable
Cm grade cable is the flame retardant grade of twisted pair commonly used by * * * at present, and its test standard is UL 1581. In China, almost all conventional twisted pairs can meet the CM flame retardant test.
Therefore, the fire protection characteristics of CM twisted pair are as follows:
◆ no spontaneous combustion;
◆ it will smoke in the flame, and flames may appear;
◆ the flame spreads slowly along the cable;
◆ when the external fire source is cut off, the flame on the cable will gradually extinguish.
As long as the CM grade cable meets the requirements of flame retardant grade, it does not consider smoke density and toxicity (smoke density and toxicity are not mentioned in UL 1581).
Cm grade cables are mostly horizontal twisted pair, which are used in the distribution subsystem.
The sheath layer of CM grade cable is mostly PVC material, and the insulation layer is high-density PE material. Its advantage is low price, but its disadvantage is low ignition point. The conventional working temperature is below 70 ℃. When the temperature reaches 160 ℃ or higher, PVC material will emit toxic halogen and smoke. If you burn it unfortunately, you will release a lot of heat.
According to the construction specification of generic cabling, the twisted pair shall be laid in the floor, ceiling and wall after passing through the metal pipe and metal bridge. At this time, ordinary twisted pair can be installed in any situation without considering smoke and toxicity.
