Conductor icing galloping, overload and ice flash fault
In severe cold weather, ice galloping, overload and ice flash can easily lead to the following faults:
(1) Conductor galloping of transmission line under icing, resulting in damage to line equipment;
(2) When the icing melts, ice bridge is easy to form on the surface of insulator string. If the insulator is seriously polluted at this time, ice flash is easy to occur;
(3) Icing and overloading of conductor and ground wire will cause accidents such as compression yield deformation of tower head, inverted tower and disconnection.
In view of the above situation, the main measures to be taken are as follows.
(1) Dance prevention. Install anti galloping device in the section where galloping occurs, improve the threshold value of galloping, effectively restrain the amplitude and strength of conductor galloping, and install a set of insulator string spacer for each phase of double string (porcelain or glass) insulator in the galloping section as support to prevent collision and damage of double string insulator due to galloping (UHV is better).
(2) Ice flash prevention. One is to insert a flower string, that is, insert a straw hat type large disc diameter insulator every 3 (or 5) in the middle of each insulator string, so as to prevent ice bridging and ice flash on the insulator string; The second is the transformation of inverted V-string insulator, which can lengthen the length of insulator string and improve the insulation strength on the premise of maintaining the air gap between conductor and tower.
(3) In view of the accidents that seriously endanger the safety of power grid, such as ground wire support yield, ground wire string movement, conductor and ground wire disconnection caused by icing overload, the main measures taken are as follows:
① Increase the strength of equipment such as conductor and ground wire and fittings to prevent conductor and ground wire from breaking, sliding, moving and dropping;
② Local reinforcement of tower components, such as reinforcement of ground wire support;
③ Appropriately shorten the length of conductor tension section and improve stress conditions.
(4) Online monitoring devices shall be installed in key sections, and long-term manual observation shall be carried out to accumulate data to guide the future ice disaster prevention work.
