Comparison of several cable laying methods
Cable is a tool for transmitting and distributing energy. The laying methods include: direct buried laying, pipe laying, shallow trench laying, cable trench laying, cable tunnel laying and overhead laying. The above laying methods have advantages and disadvantages. Generally, the selection of laying method should consider the urban development planning, the density of existing buildings, the length of cable lines, the number of laying lines and the impact of its surrounding environment.
Technically, the cable tunnel and cable trench laying methods are convenient for cable construction, maintenance and overhaul. In some cities in developed countries, public tunnels have been considered in urban planning and construction. Practice has proved that the operation effect of public tunnel is good, which greatly reduces the number of repeated investment and repeated pavement excavation, but the initial investment is huge and the construction materials consume funds. In China, due to the limitations of various factors, this laying method is very few. In contrast, direct buried laying and shallow trench laying are economical laying methods. Direct buried cable is an economical and widely used power laying method, which is used in suburbs and places where vehicles pass less frequently. However, it is not conducive to the maintenance and repair of the cable. In case of cable fault, even if the fault point is measured by the tester, it is extremely inconvenient to re excavate the cable trench. Therefore, the selection of cable laying mode shall be determined in combination with the actual situation, according to the factors such as engineering conditions, environmental characteristics, cable model and quantity, from the perspective of development, in accordance with the requirements of operation reliability, easy maintenance and the principle of technical and economic rationality.
